BEE: Schlachthof 5 (Slaughterhouse-Five, 1972) mit Kolja Senteur

Als 'Bahnhofskino' im eigentlichen Sinne geht die Adaption des (post)modernen Literaturklassiker <i><b>Schlachthof 5</b></i> (<i>Slaughterhouse-Five</i>, 1972) nicht wirklich durch, wohl aber als echte Neu- oder Wiederentdeckung. Dabei stinkt alles an Kurt Vonnegut Jrs. autobiographisch gefärbtem Science-Fiction-Roman nach Unverfilmbarkeit: Zeitsprünge, Kriegsgemetzel, Philosophie, schwarzer Humor... und mittendrin ein Protagonist, der nicht zum klassischen Helden taugt. Mit meinem Gast, Künstler <b>Kolja Senteur</b>, grabe ich mich durch die Komplexität und den Irrsinn der Literaturverfilmung von George Roy Hill, der nach seinen kommerziellen Megahits <i>Zwei Banditen</i> (<i>Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid</i>, 1969) und <i>Der Clou</i> (<i>The Sting</i>, 1971) wohl bei einigen Hollywoodproduzenten einen dicken Stein im Brett hatte. Anders ist die Entstehung dieses ebenso skurrilen wie sperrigen Films kaum zu erklären.
